Most business owners never had time for business school — you learned by doing, and by getting things wrong. Bizer Academy is the school built into your app: plain, practical lessons on the parts of running a business nobody taught you, in bites short enough to actually finish. No theory, no fluff — the kind of thing you can learn at lunch and use that afternoon.
Lessons come in short playlists (usually two or three lessons, about five minutes each) grouped around the four things every business runs on. And when a lesson sparks something you want to *do*, Academy turns it into a real project for you with one tap.
How it works
- Open Academy and pick a topic. Lessons are sorted into four pillars — Money (keeping the lights on), Marketing (getting the phone to ring), Your Team (hiring and leading), and Selling (turning interest into paying customers). Tap the one on your mind.
- Work through a playlist. Each is a short, ordered set — you'll see how many lessons and roughly how long. Some are “when the wheels come off” fixes for a problem right now; others are “make this happen” goals.
- Or follow a path. Beyond playlists, there's a Blueprint that walks your business through its stages one at a time, and a Start a Business track that goes from idea to launch step by step.
- Get lessons picked for you. A “For You” rail suggests lessons based on what you've been learning, so the next useful thing is right there.
- Turn a lesson into action. Like what you read? Tap “Add this to my projects” and Academy creates a real project in your Get Work Done — so learning becomes doing, not just reading.

Questions business owners ask
Does Academy cost anything? No — it's free, and you don't even need to be signed in to browse it. Creating a free account is what lets you save lessons and turn them into projects.
Is there anything specific to my state? Sometimes. If Bizer has content for your state — the licenses, taxes, and rules where you actually do business — a tab for it shows up automatically based on the state on your profile.
How is this different from just searching online? The lessons are curated, plain-spoken, and made for a solo owner — no rabbit holes, no contradictory advice, and each one ends with a concrete next step you can take in Bizer.
Do I have to watch videos? Some lessons are videos, some are quick reads — each shows which. The videos also live in the Videos library if you prefer to watch; it's the same content, two ways in.
What happens when I “add a lesson to my projects”? It becomes a project in Get Work Done, with the lesson's steps ready to work through — and if you add the same one twice, it just opens the project you already have instead of making a duplicate.
