Connections

Plug in the tools you already use, and Miles can work in them for you.

Bizer gets dramatically more useful the moment it stops being an island. Connections is where you plug in the tools you already run your business on — your email and calendar, your bank, your payment and accounting tools, your phone line — and hand Miles the keys to work in them for you. This is the single idea at the heart of Bizer: connect a tool, and Miles can use everything that connection opens up.

It's also where control lives. A connection is the *only* thing that grants Miles access — not a setting buried elsewhere, not a skill. You connect what you want, you see exactly what each one can reach, and you can disconnect any of it in a tap.

How it works

  1. Open Connections and pick a tool. Google Workspace, Microsoft 365, your bank (via Plaid), payment and accounting tools, DocuSign, your Twilio phone line, and more.
  2. Connect it securely. Most tools use the standard “sign in and approve” screen you already know — you log in on *their* site and grant access; Bizer never sees your password. Bank connections go through Plaid and ask you to turn on extra login protection first.
  3. Miles can now act there. Once connected, the tool's abilities become available to Miles — reading your inbox, checking your calendar, pulling your transactions — and the matching skills switch on automatically.
  4. You approve actions by default. When Miles wants to *do* something — send an email, add an event — it queues for your one-tap approval. For tools you fully trust, you can flip on “run automatically” to skip the tap (texts and money actions always stay gated, for safety).
  5. See and control the access. Each connection shows what it can reach, which account it's tied to, and when it last synced. Disconnect any one — or all of them — whenever you like.

What it helps you do

  • Let Miles work where you already work instead of copying things back and forth.
  • Bring your real data in — email, calendar, money — so Miles's help is grounded in your actual business.
  • Stay in control with clear access, approval by default, and one-tap disconnect.
  • Grow into it — connect one tool today, add more when you're ready.

Questions business owners ask

Is connecting safe? Does Bizer see my passwords? No. Connections use each tool's own secure sign-in, so you log in on their site and approve — Bizer gets permission, never your password. You can revoke that permission any time, from Bizer or from the tool itself.

Will Miles do things without asking? Not by default. Actions wait for your approval tap. You can choose to auto-run specific trusted tools, but the sensitive ones — sending texts, moving money — always ask, no matter what.

How is this different from Skills? A skill is just know-how — instructions Miles follows. A connection is what actually grants access. A skill without its connection can describe the job but can't reach your accounts; the connection is the key.

Is there a limit to how many I can connect? Your plan sets how many connections you can have — a starter plan covers the basics, and higher plans allow more (up to unlimited). You'll see a clear message if you hit the limit.

What if the tool I want isn't there? Some are marked “coming soon,” and there's a “request a connection” option to tell the team what you need. New tools are added over time — and many services connect through Bizer's general integration support even if they don't have their own tile yet.
