Playbooks
Bigger goals, handled step by step — Miles walks you through the whole thing.
Some things aren't one task — they're a *project*. Getting tax-ready. Working your sales pipeline. Launching a website. You know roughly what needs to happen, but the steps blur together and it's easy to stall halfway. A Playbook is Miles carrying you through the whole sequence, one step at a time, so a big goal actually gets finished.
If a skill is one thing Miles knows how to do, a Playbook is several of them lined up in the right order toward a real outcome. Miles runs the steps with you, checks each one off, and picks up where you left off if you wander away and come back.
How it works
- Browse the Playbooks. Open Playbooks in the menu. Each one shows its goal and the ordered steps it'll take to get there — like “Know Your Numbers” (price a job → find your break-even → set aside for taxes) or “Work Your Pipeline.”
- Start it. Tap Start and the Playbook becomes a real project in your Get Work Done, so it never gets lost — you can see progress there or right on the Playbooks screen.
- Miles walks you through, step by step. For most Playbooks, Miles runs the current step with you in chat, then moves to the next when you're ready. You'll see ✓ for done, → for where you are, and ○ for what's still ahead.
- Some Playbooks drip over time. A few (like a guided multi-day program) release one short step per day into Get Work Done instead of running all at once — so you get a bite-sized task each day rather than a marathon.
- Pause and resume freely. Step away whenever. Miles remembers your spot and offers to pick it back up — “you've still got that going, on step 2 — want to continue?”
What it helps you do
- Finish the big things that usually stall, because the next step is always teed up.
- Follow a proven order instead of guessing what to do first.
- Keep everything in one project you can track, pause, and come back to.
- Get a consultant-style walk-through of jobs like pricing, taxes, sales, and launching — without hiring one.
Questions business owners ask
Is a Playbook rigid — do I have to do every step in order? It's a guide, not a cage. If you want to jump to something else, Miles helps with that and steers you back when you're ready. You can also set a Playbook aside entirely.
Where does the work show up? As a project in Get Work Done, so it lives alongside your other tasks and you always know what's left. Manual Playbooks run in your chat with Miles; scheduled ones surface a task a day.
Does it cost extra? No — starting and running a Playbook is part of Bizer. If a step involves an outside tool you'd have to pay for separately (say, a paid website plan), Miles will tell you before you get there.
What if I stop halfway? Nothing's lost. The project stays put and Miles reminds you it's there, ready to resume from your exact step.
Can I run more than one? Yes. Each is its own tracked project, so you can have a couple going — though finishing one before starting the next usually feels better.
