Reconcile against your bank statement

Confirm your records match the bank, catch duplicates, and lock the period so it stays true.

From Money → Reconcile. Reconciling is how you know your numbers are real.

  1. Pick an account.
  2. Enter the statement's beginning balance, ending balance, and date.
  3. Check off each transaction that appears on your statement. The difference

updates live and should reach $0.

  1. Lock reconciliation to freeze those transactions so they can't be changed by

accident.

Duplicates

Bizer flags possible duplicates for you to review — the usual cause is one payment arriving from both a photographed receipt and a connected bank feed.

How often

Monthly, right after the statement lands. A reconciled month is a month you never have to re-open.
