Get Work Done: the GTD lists

Capture everything, sort it into the right list, and always know your next action.

Get Work Done is a task and project system built on the proven Getting Things Done (GTD) method. The idea is simple: get everything out of your head, sort it once, and always know your next action.

The lists

| List | What belongs in it | | --- | --- | | Today | Due or scheduled today, plus anything overdue. | | Inbox | New, unsorted captures. Empty this regularly. | | Next | Your committed next actions. | | Waiting For | Blocked on someone else — note who and what. | | Scheduled | Set to resurface on a future date. | | Someday/Maybe | Ideas to revisit later, guilt-free. | | Projects | Multi-step outcomes that group related tasks. |

How it works in practice

Capture into Inbox without thinking. Later, sort each item: is it a next action, is someone else holding it, does it belong on a date, or is it a *maybe*? Anything with more than one step becomes a Project.

Once a week, review the whole thing with Miles so nothing quietly rots in a list you stopped opening.
