Contacts: who you can message in Bizer
A contact is someone on Bizer you're connected to: you ask, they accept. Only contacts can message each other in Bizer.
A contact is someone on Bizer you're connected to, a bit like a friend on Facebook. One of you sends a request and the other accepts. Only contacts can message each other in Bizer.
Contacts aren't People
People is your business's record of everyone it works with, and you can write anyone down there. Being in People doesn't make someone a contact, and doesn't let you message them in Bizer.
Who's already a contact
- Anyone you already had a conversation with in Bizer.
- Your teammates, and they stay contacts if they leave the team.
- Miles, Kelsi Guidry (Bizer's founder) and Bizer Support, from day one.
A customer who messages your Bizer Profile isn't a contact. You and Miles answer them in their own thread with your business.
Add a contact
Open the Contacts tab and tap +, then enter their email.
- If they're on Bizer, they get a contact request. Once they accept, you can
message each other.
- If they're not, they get an email inviting them to join you.
Requests waiting for you show at the top of Contacts, with Accept and Decline. Requests you sent show at the bottom, where you can withdraw them.
Remove or block
Tap ⋯ beside a contact:
- Remove contact: you stop being contacts. Your past messages stay, but
neither of you can send new ones until you're contacts again.
- Block: removes the contact, and they can't send you another request.
Asking Miles
Ask Miles to message a contact ("message Jady that I'm running late") and he drafts it for you to approve; it's sent as you, to their chat. If the person isn't one of your contacts, Miles tells you so, and can send them a contact request if you have their email. Only you can approve a message sent as you.
