The header (top bar)

What each icon in the top bar does, and where the red badges come from.

The header appears at the top of most screens and holds four controls.

| Control | Where | What it does | | --- | --- | --- | | Menu (☰) | Top-left | Opens the side drawer — every module, settings, and the workspace switcher. | | Logo / wordmark | Center | Returns you to The Stream. | | Chat (💬) | Top-right | Opens your Messages inbox. A red badge counts unread messages. | | Bell (🔔) | Top-right | Opens Notifications. A red badge counts unread alerts. |

On a sub-screen the menu icon becomes a back arrow that returns you to the screen above.
