Define the workflow for completing jobs or products

A workflow is the path a job travels from request to done. Defining it removes the 'what's next?' guesswork, prevents dropped steps, and shows you where work piles up.

Do this

1. List the stages a job moves through (request → scheduled → in progress → done).
2. Decide what has to happen to move from one stage to the next.
3. Track jobs through those stages in Bizer's Work module.
4. Watch where jobs get stuck and smooth that step.

Define Your Job Workflow

Map your job from start to finish in stages:

REQUESTED → SCHEDULED → IN PROGRESS → QUALITY CHECK → DONE → INVOICED

For each arrow, note what must happen to move forward: Requested → Scheduled: confirmed date + deposit In Progress → Quality Check: work complete, photos taken Done → Invoiced: customer signs off

A clear workflow means anyone can see what's next without asking you.
