Write a one-paragraph vision statement

A basic vision is your answer to 'where is this going?' It doesn't need to be grand — it needs to be clear enough to guide your decisions and keep you pointed in one direction.

Do this

1. Write one or two sentences on what you want the business to become.
2. Include who you serve and what makes you different.
3. Keep it somewhere you'll see it — it's your compass.
4. Revisit it when a big decision comes up: does this move fit?

Your Vision in 2 Sentences

Template: "In [2-3 years], [business] will be the [type of business] that [who you serve] turn to for [what you're known for]."

Example: "In two years, Dufrene Mobile Lube will be the service Houma fleet owners trust to keep their trucks running without ever leaving the lot."

Keep it short. A vision you can say from memory is one you'll actually use.
