Set clear annual and quarterly business goals
Vague hopes don't drive a business; clear goals do. Setting annual and quarterly goals gives you and your team a target to aim at and a way to know if you're winning.
Do this
- Set 2-3 big goals for the year (revenue, hires, a new offer).
- Break each into what must happen this quarter.
- Make every goal measurable — a number and a date.
- Review progress every quarter and reset.
Annual + Quarterly Goal Frame
ANNUAL (1 year out): "By next June, hit $250k revenue with 2 crews running."
QUARTERLY (this 90 days) — the steps that get you there: Q goal 1: ______ (number + date) Q goal 2: ______ (number + date) Q goal 3: ______ (number + date)
Each quarter: score last quarter (hit/miss), then set the next three. Annual goals stay fixed; quarterly goals adjust to reality.
