Add a quality-control step to the workflow (documented inspection or sign-off)

As volume grows, quality slips unless you guard it. Quality control processes — checks built into the workflow — catch problems before the customer does and protect the reputation you've built.

Do this

  1. Add quality checkpoints at key stages of each job.
  2. Use a standard checklist to verify work before it ships.
  3. Track defects or rework so you can spot patterns.
  4. Fix the process behind any recurring issue.

Quality Control Checklist

  • Define quality checkpoints in the workflow
  • Require a sign-off checklist before delivery
  • Log defects and rework
  • Review patterns monthly
  • Fix the root cause in the SOP, not just the job
