Document your capacity (jobs or units per week)

Knowing how much work you can handle in a day or week stops you from overbooking and burning out — or underbooking and leaving money on the table. Capacity is just doing the math on your time.

Do this

  1. Take your real time-per-job and your available work hours.
  2. Divide to find how many jobs fit in a day and a week.
  3. Leave slack for travel, surprises, and admin.
  4. Book up to that capacity — and know when to say 'next week.'

Capacity Math

Jobs per week = Available work hours ÷ Real hours per job

Example: Available: 40 hrs/week Real time per job: 5 hrs (including travel/setup) Capacity ≈ 8 jobs/week

Then subtract ~15-20% for surprises and admin → plan for ~6-7.

Knowing this number lets you book confidently and protect your quality.
