Basic Operations: Work at the Start Phase
A zone of Start to Exit: The Bizer Blueprint, where Work meets the Start phase.
Basic Operations is where the work stops living only in your head. You do not need a factory, you need the job written down clearly enough that it could be repeated.
What it takes
- Write a scope statement of what you deliver, and the basic steps to deliver it.
- Know the tools, equipment, and suppliers each job needs.
- Record how long a job really takes and your weekly capacity.
- Write basic quality standards: what good looks like, every time.
What it is worth
Twenty-five points toward the Start band. Knowing true time and cost also makes pricing honest. Next rung up: Operational Consistency.
