Implement weekly planning and review sessions
Businesses drift when no one stops to plan and review. A weekly planning and review session — even 30 minutes — keeps priorities clear and problems from festering.
Do this
- Pick a set time each week (e.g. Monday morning).
- Look back: what got done, what didn't, what did we learn?
- Look forward: what are the top priorities this week?
- Write down who owns what by when.
Weekly Planning Agenda (30 min)
Run the same agenda every week:
1. WINS (5 min) — what went well last week? 2. NUMBERS (5 min) — key metrics: sales, jobs, cash 3. REVIEW (10 min) — what slipped, and why? 4. PRIORITIES (10 min) — top 3 for this week + who owns each
Keep it tight and consistent. The rhythm matters more than the length — same day, same agenda, every week.
