See how you show up on Google (it's free)

Google will tell you — for free — exactly which searches bring people to your website and where you rank for each one. It's called Google Search Console, it's Google's own data (not a guess), and it's the single best way to know if being found online is actually working. Every business with a website should turn it on. The good news: you don't have to figure it out — connect it in Bizer and Miles reads it for you, so "how am I ranking on Google?" becomes a question you can just ask.

Do this

  1. Know what it is: a free Google tool that shows the real search terms people use to find you, how often you show up, and your average position for each.
  2. Why it matters: it's the difference between guessing and knowing. It shows the keywords you ALMOST rank for — the fastest wins — and the pages people see but don't click.
  3. Turn it on: in Bizer, ask Miles to set up Google Search Console. He'll walk you through it — and if you've already connected Google Analytics, it's basically one click.
  4. Then just ask: "How am I ranking on Google?" Miles reads it back in plain English and tells you the one move that'll help most.

What Search Console tells you

Once it's on, Miles can answer questions you couldn't before:

RANK "Where do I rank for 'mobile dog grooming'?" → your average position, straight from Google

FOUND "What are people searching to find me?" → the real terms — often not the ones you'd guess

ALMOST "What am I close to ranking for?" → page-two keywords one nudge from page one (your best wins)

CLICKS "People see me but don't click — why?" → usually a weak title/description Miles can rewrite

You don't read charts. You ask Miles. Turning it on is the only setup — and Miles helps you do even that.
