Say it the same way, everywhere
Branding isn't just how you look — it's how you sound. When your Google listing, your texts, your posts, and your voicemail all sound like the same person, customers trust you more without knowing why. Pick a voice that's genuinely you — friendly, straight-talking, whatever fits — and use it consistently. That consistency is the whole trick.
Do this
- Decide how you want to come across, in a few words (e.g. friendly, honest, no-nonsense).
- Write your one-liner and your promise in that voice — then reuse them word-for-word.
- Keep the same tone everywhere: your listing, posts, texts, and the way you answer the phone.
- When in doubt, sound like a helpful human, not a corporate brochure.
Your voice, in one line
Pick three words for how you want to sound, then write to them:
MY VOICE IS: friendly · honest · no-nonsense (pick your own)
SOUNDS LIKE YOU: ✓ "Hey Sam — got your message, I can be there Thursday morning. Sound good?" ✓ "Straight up: you don't need the big package. Here's what'll fix it."
SOUNDS LIKE A BROCHURE (avoid): ✗ "We are pleased to offer our valued clientele premium solutions."
Say your business name, your one-liner, and your promise the same way in every place a customer meets you. Same look, same voice — that's a brand.
