Your pipeline is just a follow-up habit
Most sales aren't lost to a better competitor — they're lost to silence. The owner got busy, forgot to follow up, and the customer drifted. Your pipeline exists to make sure that never happens: every deal has a next step and a date, so nothing goes quiet on your watch. Success here isn't talent, it's a few small disciplines done every day.
Do this
- Open your Pipeline. Every open deal should have a Next step and a date — if one doesn't, add it now.
- Block ten minutes at the same time each day for follow-ups. Same time daily beats a big push once a month.
- When you finish one conversation, set the very next step before you close the deal. Never leave a deal with no next move.
- Move a deal forward a stage the moment it earns it — a reply, a quote sent, a yes.
The 10-minute daily follow-up
- Open Pipeline and sort by what's due today
- Send every follow-up that's due — a text counts
- Any deal with no next step? Give it one and a date
- Move any deal that earned it to the next stage
- Add today's new leads before you close the app
