Stop taking notes on your own sales calls
On paid Google Workspace plans (Business Standard and up), Meet can transcribe and record your calls — and Miles can read them. The recap email, the follow-up tasks, the customer notes: written from what was actually said, not what you half-remember an hour later. And "did they even show up?" becomes a fact he can check, not a guess.
Do this
- Turn it on during the call: in Meet, Activities → Transcripts → Start (recording works the same way). One tap as the host — make it a habit on every sales call.
- After the call, ask: "Recap my 2pm from the transcript." Miles reads what was said, drafts the recap email with the real details, and turns every promise you made into a dated task — you tap to approve.
- Check attendance as fact: "Did the 10am lead actually join?" Miles sees who joined and for how long. A real no-show gets the graceful rebook; a lead who sat waiting ten minutes gets an apology that names it.
- Find the recording: "Get me the recording of Thursday's demo" — it lands in your Drive, and Miles hands you the link to rewatch or share.
- On free Gmail? Everything else in this playlist still works — Miles just asks you for the two-line debrief instead. This lesson is the one honest reason to consider the Business Standard upgrade.
- Connected Google before this existed? One reconnect on the Connections screen adds the Meet permission — nothing else changes.
